3D modeling for reconstruction, XR, 3D printing and marketing
EXCIT3D creates 3D models of buildings, products and figures: as reconstructions for museums and cities, for AR and VR applications, for 3D printing and for marketing and virtual production.
Our models are created from CAD and BIM data, scans, historical plans, photos and portraits. We model buildings, products and figures, rig and animate characters and prepare the data for the respective use: for real-time applications in AR and VR, for renderings or for 3D printing.
3D models for architecture and real estate
We model commercial properties inside and out, for example based on BIM data, for presentations at trade fairs, on websites or in apps. We also reconstruct buildings that no longer exist.

3D models for virtual and augmented reality
For AR and VR, models must be detailed enough for close-up viewing and at the same time light enough for smartphones and standalone headsets. We optimize geometry and textures for the respective target device.
3D models for virtual reality
Walk through old walls or fantasy buildings with a VR headset. Imagine being able to explore Schloss Burg reconstructed in its medieval state as if you were really standing there. For DOM:digital, we reconstructed the interior of the demolished Goslar Cathedral in this way.
3D models for augmented reality
In AR, 3D scenes and figures appear in the camera image of a smartphone or headset. Our augmented reality characters such as Anne of Cleves are among the first fully digitized historical characters in Germany. Most recently, we created the figures for Sagenhaftes Rastede and the avatars of the Kusel museum app.
Ideal for tourism, education and interactive city tours. Our AR models are optimized for different platforms – from WebAR and mobile apps to professional AR headsets.
Virtual production & gaming
For virtual production and game development, we create 3D characters, props and virtual filming locations, and for online stores product models that can be rotated and configured.
3D models for 3D printing
For 3D printing, we prepare models so that they can be printed: closed geometry, suitable wall thicknesses, splitting of large objects. This is how we recently created the four castle models and the Count Engelbert sculptures for the permanent exhibition at Schloss Burg.

EXCIT3D GmbH helps artists transfer their creative ideas into the third dimension. The models become sculptures, installations or digital versions of existing works.

In marketing, 3D models replace elaborate photo productions and also show variants that do not exist yet.
With detailed models of your products, customers can view them from every angle, zoom in and even use interactive functions to understand them better.
